Peter Gallagher is an American actor, musician, and writer. He played Ken Scott in After but was unavailable to film the sequel After We Collided due to scheduling conflicts, so his role was recast to Rob Estes.

Biography and Career[]

Peter Killian Gallagher was born in New York City. His mother was a bacteriologist, and his father was an advertising executive. Peter is the youngest of three siblings. He graduated from Tufts University, where he was active in theater, appearing in shows and singing with the all-male Acappella group the Beelzebubs.

He is an actor, known for numerous roles over the decades but most notably American Beauty (1999), The O.C. (2003), and While You Were Sleeping (1995). He has been married to Paula Harwood since May 7, 1983. They have two children together.

In 2019, he co-starred as Ken Scott in After, the film adaption of Anna Todd's worldwide phenomenon book series of the same name, alongside Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin. The film scored over $70 million dollars in the box office. Peter was set to reprise his role as "Ken" in the second film, After We Collided, but was unable to due to scheduling conflicts. His role was ultimately recast to Rob Estes.
