Professor Hill attempting to defuse an argument between Tessa and Hardin.

Professor Hill is a literature professor at Washington Central University in the After series written by Anna Todd. He teaches British Literature, where Tessa Young and Hardin Scott often engage in heated discussions.

History[]

Professor Hill introduces the syllabus and reading list at the start of the semester. He dismisses the class after the first session, where Tessa and Hardin have their first classroom interaction.

During another class, he announces a weeklong discussion on Pride and Prejudice, which excites Tessa.

Later, he leads a discussion on Jane Austen’s use of foreshadowing. Tessa and Hardin engage in a heated argument over Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth’s relationship, revealing underlying emotions.

At one point, he adjusts the syllabus and moves Wuthering Heights earlier than scheduled. Hardin voices strong opinions about Catherine and Heathcliff, leading to another tense moment between him and Tessa. After class, Tessa approaches Professor Hill to explain her absences. He congratulates her on her internship and mentions the syllabus adjustment.

Personality[]

Professor Hill is a composed and knowledgeable instructor. He encourages classroom discussions and allows students to express their perspectives but intervenes when debates become too heated. He remains professional, even when Tessa and Hardin’s arguments disrupt the class.
